The annual Met Gala is renowned for being the red carpet event of the year - a point definitely proved by 2019's sartorial offering.
Fully committed to this year's Camp: Notes on Fashion theme, stars braved their boldest looks to date as they walked the steps of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Marking the event's 71th anniversary, the glamorous occasion was co-chaired by Lady Gaga, Gucci's Alessandro Michele, Harry Styles and Serena Williams, who embraced the dress code with gusto.
Lady Gaga kicked off the event with a dramatic arrival which saw her unveil four outfits, which ranged from a billowing Brandon Maxwell pink gown to crystal-adorned underwear.
But Gaga's spectacle was just the beginning, as Katy Perry arrived in a Moschino chandelier, Zendaya dressed as a modern Cinderella courtesy of Tommy Hilfiger and Tracee Ellis Ross was transformed into an actual work of art by Jeremy Scott.
In the menswear department, Billy Porter wore head-to-toe gold and was carried in by six shirtless men, Jared Leto held a replica of his own head on the red carpet and Harry Styles' sheer Gucci shirt garnered a lot of attention online.
Although there was a lot of variation within the theatrical ensembles, pink proved to be the biggest trend of the evening, as numerous stars including Naomi Campbell, Dakota Johnson, Nicki Minaj, Gisele Bundchen, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Bieber matched the pastel pink carpet in complimenting shades.
