Best dressed and top outfits spotted on Grand National day at Aintree racecourse

All eyes were on Aintree for the Grand National today and racegoers have dressed to the nines for the occasion.

Yesterday might have been the Style Award but that hasn't stopped people from putting their fashionable foot forward today for one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

From beautiful floral dresses to bold colourful suits, spectators have dressed to kill in their thousands.

What the expert tipsters predict for the Grand National 2019

Here are some of the best dressed we've spotted the the crowds on Grand National day at Aintree:

Beth Pope

Beth Pope, 21, from Blackpool is wearing a navy blazer and pattern dress from Ted Baker.

She has styled her outfit with yellow accessories from Head Over Heels.

Beth said she goes to the races a lot, however this is her first time at the Grand National.

Kirry Shimminer

Kirry Shimminer, 30, from Isle of Man is wearing a floral midi length dress from Zara.

Her bright pink bag is from Prada, her heels are from M&S and she is wearing a fascinator that she made herself.

Kirry told the ECHO it is her first time at the National.

Helen Hatton and Leanne Koo

Helen Hatton and Leanne Koo were enjoying a day out on the course.

Helen's entire outfit was from Selfridges, with her hairpieces from bling accessories.

While Leanne's pink dress was from Harvey Nichols, her shoes were from Cricket and she finished her look off with Tom Ford sunglasses.

Clare Healy

 

Clare Healy has travelled to Aintree today from Leeds to enjoy her first ever Grand National Festival.

She is here wearing a dress from Harvey Nichols and a bag and shoes from Debenhams.

Clare told the ECHO she was looking forward to the day and plans to place two bets for every race.

Charley Shaw

 

Charley Shaw is 27-years-old and stood out from the crowds in her blue suit.

The suit she is wearing is from Next's Emma Willis range and her shoes are from Primark. Her bag is from New Look.

Charley had just arrived at the racecourse with her boyfriend when the ECHO spotted her with her boyfriend.

Kelly and Sarah Thornton

Kelly and Sarah Thornton are sisters in law who we spotted close to the winner's enclosure at the racecourse.

Both have opted for over-sized headpieces, which helped them stand out from the crowds.

They also both opted for one shoulder dresses, with Kelly opting for light pink and Sarah opting for a brighter pink.

Luke Linton and Ruby Walker

Luke and Ruby were taking a walk past the course when the ECHO spotted them at Aintree.

They are both 22 and from Middlesborough. Ruby is wearing a dress from a Manchester fashion designer The Dolls House Fashion. 

Theresa Wong, Yasmin Wong and Nikita Wong

Theresa Wong is enjoying a day at Aintree with her two daughters Yasmin and Nikita.

Theresa's pastel pink dress is from Godiva, her shoes are from John lewis and hat from Debenhams.

Yasmin is wearing a yellow dress is from Haus of CB, her shoes are from New Look and fascinator from Accessories .

While Nikita's dress is from Pretty Little Thing, her shoes and hat are both from John Lewis.

Antonia Lutas and Jasmine Markl

We love how Antonia and Jasmine have co-ordinated their outfits and both opted for a blue theme.

Jasmine's dress is from Chi Chi London.

Both girls stood out with over-sized headpieces.
