Best Currys Black Friday deals to expect 2023: Offers on smartwatches, washing machines and more

When it comes to purchasing brand-new tech or large home appliances, making an investment to upgrade your smartphone, smartwatch, tablet, washing machine or TV is frankly only worth doing on one weekend of the 365 total days in a calendar year.

When exactly is that elusive extended weekend, we hear you ask? While the official days may change from year to year, the annual sales extravaganzas we speak of are known as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, respectively.

While the tech retailer offers brilliant bargains all year round, Currys certainly pulls out the big guns each and every Black Friday – taking that iconic “Always Cutting Prices” slogan to unforeseen heights.

When is Black Friday?

Each year, the savviest shoppers will flip to the last weekend in November on their kitchen calendars to circle and triple-underline the dates spanning from Friday to Monday. This year, Black Friday falls on Friday, November 24. If you have friends across the pond, it’s the day after the US Thanksgiving.

What is Black Friday?

Originating in the United States back in the 1970s as a post-thanksgiving clear-out sale, Black Friday has snowballed over the decades to become the most popular annual sales event globally. A brilliant way to make every penny count up until Christmas, many shoppers refuse to stockpile festive presents until the last weekend of November, and for good reason.

When does Black Friday end?

Black Friday closes out when the clock strikes midnight on Cyber Monday, which falls on Monday, November 27 this year. Online deals, however, will be available across the entire weekend – giving you a grand total of four days to make those purchases count.

What kind of deals can we expect from Currys?

Last year, we saw jaw-dropping discounts from big tech brands including Samsung, Apple, HP and Sony, while home appliance specialists such as Miele, Hoover, Sage and Shark also offered incredible bargains.

When does Black Friday start on Currys PC?

Though Black Friday at Currys officially begins on November 24, there are already a variety of deals available right now. Yesterday, Currys launched its Green Friday sales event in an effort to combine brilliant deals with a commitment to sustainability. As a result, the retailer is already offering discounts on energy efficient devices across the board.

Do Currys refund the difference on Black Friday?

As always, Currys will refund the difference or knock a sum off the retail price if you spot an item offered cheaper elsewhere – a deal which is applicable for up to seven days after your purchase. However, that doesn’t mean that they’ll refund you the difference for an item that you have purchased and used well before Black Friday, just because the price has dropped drastically at a different UK retailer during the sales event.

Nevertheless, it’s still worth using Black Friday deals to your advantage and keeping your eyes peeled for any retailers which might be offering better deals than Currys for that guaranteed price match.
