The highly anticipated Killing Floor 3 is here, bringing a new engine, story, and ways to conduct slaughter. Many recognizable faces return from Killing Floor 2, including the Commando, the game's go-to Ballistic damage Perk.
Just as any other Perk, Commando sports a wide variety of weapons, modifications, and skills that can make him difficult to figure out. So, here is our best Commando build in KF3, made for your convenience.

The best build for Commando in KF3
Loadout

Every Perk in the game can carry two primary weapons during a match. Commando, being very ammo hungry, could really use to sport as many weapons as possible, plus an Ammo Bag for safe measure. His skills amplify the amount of bullets he can carry, but it still poses a real problem, especially in higher difficulties.
Here is our recommended Commando loadout:
-
Primary:
-
Stormguard
- Overpressure Rounds
- Suppressor
- Enhanced Foregrip
- Reflex Sight
- Extended Mag
- Fast Action Receiver
-
X295 Wraith
- Armor Piercing Rounds
- Suppressor
- Enhanced Foregrip
- Reflex Sight
- Drum Mag
- Heavy Frame Receiver
-
Stormguard
With this pair of weapons, both your ammo and damage worries will be gone. The enhanced Stormguard will provide Soundwave and Force damage at high fire rates and amazing accuracy, whereas the stronger X295 Wraith will retain its Ballistic damage output with the addition of some Force damage. It will shoot slower but hit much harder, making it perfect as a contingency weapon against Bosses, particularly against heavily armored ones.
-
Side Arm:
-
Bloodhound P330
- Hollow Point Rounds
- Suppressor
- Laser Sight
- Red Dot Sight
- Extended Mag
- Multi-Round Burst Fire Mode
-
Bloodhound P330
Pistols are a last resort for when you're completely out of ammunition. With these attachments, your P330 will prove quite useful, especially in case you get downed and are left only with your pistol. It'll provide nice damage, a faster fire rate thanks to the Burst Fire Mode, and be as accurate as possible (though the P330 is already quite precise by default).
Skills

Commando is a typical gunrunner, prioritizing spending lots of ammo and high DPS. The following skills have been chosen particularly to increase Commando's overall damage output while synergizing well with his Ballistic damage weapons.
-
Passives:
- Fire Sale
- Hothead
- Not Dead Yet
- Time and Again
- Limb Reaper
-
Throwable:
- Think Fast
- Capacity Increase
- Cluster Bombs
- Capacity Increase 2
- Scavenger
-
Gadget:
- Acceptable Damage
- Widen Out
- Easy Upgrade
- Business Expansion
- Boom Cycle
Picking up these skills will ensure you always have a steady supply of grenades, amazing Ballistic DPS, and a reliable Gadget, all of which will help you decimate Horzine's endless waves of Zeds.
