Best Cheap Right Backs (RB) To Sign In Football Manager 26

Finding the right fullbacks is often one of the most critical signings to complete when putting together a team in Football Manager 26. Modern tactics often use fullbacks as an integral part of the attack while still expecting effective defending against the opposing team’s corresponding tricky wide players.

Whether you’re on the hunt for a young starlet to grow into a world beater or an experienced pro who is ready to plug and play right away, these bargain right backs can get your club headed in the right direction.

When getting started, particularly if managing for a team below the upper echelons of the sport, your first transfer window is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of free agents and bargain transfers. These players can provide you with high-quality service on the right flank without requiring an arm and a leg to bring them in.

  • Max Aarons (AFC Bournemouth): Buying English players and buying in the Premier League is not often the way to find good bargains, but Max Aarons is just that. With Premier League quality already and room to grow, Aarons is an excellent early buy.
  • Guéla Doué (Strasbourg): The Ivory Coast has a proud tradition of delivering high-quality wide players, particularly in the French league, where the language makes for an easy fit.
  • Simen Lyngbo (Kelantan The Real Warriors FC): For teams starting at the lower reaches of the game’s database, even just five or six figures can be a bit too high a price to pay. For just a couple thousand pounds, you can have Lyngbo instead.
  • Kimito Nono (Kashima Antlers): The Japanese league is often a great place to shop for bargain players who can compete for you immediately. Nono is available for less than £500,000 and can instantly raise the level of your back line.
  • Ruben Sanchez (Espanyol): A player capable of playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world at a key position for just a few million is an excellent treat. Sanchez is available for a discount price at Espanyol and is worth a look at the start of your save.
  • Takehiro Tomiyasu (Free Agent): Stop me if you’ve heard this before, as Tomiyasu was on our general bargains list as well as both the left back and center back lists. That’s because he’s available for free and capable of playing across the entire back line. With the talent to slot into most teams right away, he’s an instant boost to nearly any squad if you can keep him on the pitch.
  • Mattia Zanotti (FC Lugano): Though only 22, Zanotti is already near the top of his potential, but this is not all bad news. That level is still strong enough to play effectively for a lot of clubs in the market for cheap transfers.

Best Cheap Wonderkid RBs In Football Manager 26

Serviceable additions are useful, but there are few things in Football Manager more enjoyable than bringing in a wonderkid and watching them grow from a prospect into a proper legend under your direction. These wonderkid right backs have sky-high potential and the ability to grow into star players for Champions League-contending squads:

  • Kylian Antonio (Lens): For under £5 million, you can scoop up Antonio and watch him grow into a potential of being a squad player on a world-beating side. He’s an immediate player at 17 for most smaller clubs, and a future club legend after leading you through multiple promotions.
  • Niccolo Fortini (Fiorentina): One of the good things about searching for wide players is that often wings and full backs can play both sides. While preferable on the left, players like Fortini are young and talented enough to grow from a yellow or olive RB familiarity to bright green.
  • Saba Kharebashvili (Dinamo Tbilisi): Another two-sided option, at just a few million to acquire Kharebashvili is a young starlet who can become one of the key cogs of your back line. Grab him young and cheap and be glad you did.
  • Baran Ozmen (Bayern Munich): While not a player with the potential to turn into a world beater, for just about £100,000 with the potential to reach a level on par with Ferran Torres in the eyes of Barca scouts, he can be a small side steal.
  • Keita Kosugi (Djurgardens): The final player making a return from our LB list, Kosugi is another wide defender who can already play competently on either side and, with the right training, can lock down your right back spot long term if desired.

Are you bringing in any of these options yourself, or do you have your own right back bargain buys you can’t resist instead?
