The cold weather can leave your skin looking dull and dehydrated so now the summer weather is here it's time to get it looking and feeling great.
We've enlisted our in-house beauty team to share their top picks of the best body moisturisers that are filled with ingredients that will elevate pesky dry, flaky skin many of us are prone to.
Plus Dermatologist, Dr Susan Mayou, has shared her top tips on on how to improve the condition of your skin:
Wear suncream on your body. "Even a small amount of daily sun exposure without protection can cause premature ageing – which can lead to a reduction in skin elasticity," says Dr Susan. On your body that means saggy knees and upper arms!
Fake tan. If you’re a regular faker, make sure you’re exfoliating well between applications, as the ingredients that tint your skin can also make it more dry and patchy.
Eczema. If you have persistent dryness, especially on your upper arms and hands, you may have eczema – a condition that causes skin to become red and flakey. If so, be careful to opt for hypoallergenic lotions.
Exercise. "Regular exercise improves muscle tone, which helps support skin and also boost elasticity," says Dr Susan. Try incorporating a weekly pilates or yoga, to help keep your skin firm.
