Black Friday is just a week away, and the Nintendo Switch is expected, once again, to be one of the most sought-after gadgets in this year's sales.
Since it first hit shelves back in 2017, the portable video game system has shattered numerous sales records and, to date, has sold over 89 million units worldwide.

Nintendo has already warned us that a global chip shortage is set to hit Switch production again this year, which is likely to mean further disappointment for many.
The Nintendo Switch has been among the most sough-after items for several years now. Its continued popularity, combined with the global chip shortage and supply issues, means that we're unlikely to see any major discounts.
So, is Black Friday really the best time to buy a Nintendo Switch? While we're certainly anticipating deals, we're also expecting the Switch to fly off the shelves again this year.

There was plenty to be excited about in last year. Not to be outdone by the big online retailers, Aldi confirmed it was selling the Nintendo Switch for just £229, while supermarket rival also be sold the console in-store and online for £229.
