Best beauty buys cheaper on Amazon compared to Boots & Superdrug ahead of Spring Sale 2023

A Spring Sale is the latest discount event Amazon is offering to shoppers amid the cost of living crisis. Shoppers have Amazon's seasonal sale to look forward to, with two days of deals from Monday 27 to Wednesday 29, including many products from the retail giant's beauty, fashion, tech and home pages.

Beauty lovers could be cashing in on some huge savings on big name brands like Olay, L’Oreal and Elizabeth Arden. We found from scouring other retailers for similar products, Amazon is more than likely to come out on top with the cheapest finds from the likes of Boots and Superdrug.

For those who regularly use Amazon for essential buys, especially Prime members, beauty bits and bobs from the retailer are the next product hauls to make the most of with incredibly affordable price tags.

On the Amazon website, shoppers can find limited-time deals that see some products slashed by as much as 70%. In the navigation bar, there is a section called ‘Today’s Deals’ which draws up a number of categories, but look down the left hand side and you can filter by ‘beauty’ products, shopping hair care, skin care, fragrance, cosmetics and electrical beauty for a lot less than the original price.

Manchester Evening News, our sister paper, have dug around for the best deals and found several offers that make Amazon one of best places to hunt for bargain beauty buys. For example, the cheapest we’ve seen the Olay Eyes Firming Eye Serum with Niacinamide for Wrinkles at Boots is £10 as part of their weekly £10 Tuesday deal.

The eye cream - which has rave reviews - usually retails for £24.99, but on Amazon, it’s currently down to £12.47, £2.53 cheaper than it is currently at Argos.

Usually £29.99, the L'Oréal Paris Cell Renew Midnight Serum is reportedly a dupe for Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum, which is around £70. Already it’s a huge saving by switching to a cheaper alternative, but Amazon currently has the price reduced to £14.22, making the savings even greater.

Another skincare saviour shoppers have snapped up for less is the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Lip Repair now £18.90 on Amazon. The same product costs £20.99 at Superdrug, and is still £21 on the Elizabeth Arden website.

Products that you repeat purchase regularly could save you even more money with Amazon’s subscribe and save scheme. For example, if you love the Max Factor Lasting Performance Long-Lasting Liquid Foundation and get through a bottle every three months, you can order it on repeat and get further discounts.

At Boots and Superdrug the foundation costs just under £10, but Amazon has it down to £7.25. Those who use subscribe and save could pay just £5.35, saving 10 per cent, plus a further saving of up to 15 per cent when you schedule a repeat delivery.

Amazon's lightning deal page is good for helping to separate products using the filter and price option. It will also give you the best deal of the day.
