What is the Amazon Prime Day sale?
The annual Amazon Prime Day sale was launched back in 2015 as a 24-hour discount fiesta. Over the years, it has blossomed and in 2023, there were three sales hosted by the online giant. The stalwart Prime Day event – now taking place over 48 hours – has been joined by a March Spring Sale event and in October, there was the first Big Deals Day. Don’t miss the selection of bargain tech that extends to laptops, TVs, air fryers, vacuum cleaners and Amazon devices.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?
If the pattern of the last few years is anything to go by, we can expect Amazon’s flagship Prime Day event to take place in the second week of July. Last year it ran over July 11 and 12.
How to take part in Amazon Prime Day
After you have made your wishlist and added your must-buys to basket, it is crucial to be an Amazon Prime subscriber in order to take advantage of the stellar discounts in the one-stop shop’s July sale. This costs £8.99 a month or £95 a year, a figure which is reduced to £4.49 per month and £47.49 per year if you are a student. There is also a 30-day free trial. Prime membership promises access to sales and unlimited next-day delivery as well as Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Reading, Deliveroo and more.
