Besiktas are yet to formally confirm Ridvan Yilmaz as their player but have been posting updates on their move to sign him.
The Rangers left-back flew into Istanbul yesterday to undergo a medical ahead of completing a £2 million transfer back to his former side.
Clubs usually keep schtum on these things until there is something to formally announce but, in a break from tradition, the Turkish Super Lig side have been updating their fans.
An initial statement read: "Rıdvan Yılmaz, a product of our football academy and a son of our community, with whom we have started transfer negotiations, has arrived in Istanbul to continue the talks and undergo a medical examination

Yilmaz said: “I am very happy. I am returning home. I want to start as soon as possible.
"I can't wait to wear the Beşiktaş jersey again. I've been away from here for three years, but I still follow Beşiktaş.

The club have since posted a picture of the defender being put through his medical.
And an update from the read: "Professional footballer Rıdvan Yılmaz, with whom we've begun transfer negotiations, underwent a medical checkup this morning at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital.
"Following detailed blood tests, Yılmaz was examined in the orthopedics, internal medicine, ophthalmology, ear, nose, and throat, general surgery, and cardiology departments. The checkup concluded with lung and stress tests."
