Bernie Sanders says he would chose LeBron James over Michael Jordan

Tim Tebow may have voiced his opinion against a California bill supported by LeBron James that would allow college athletes to make money off of their likeness, perhaps the most famous ally of LeBron James on this matter is Democratic presidential nominee and Vermont senator Bernie Sanders. And Sanders’ support of LeBron goes beyond just the bill, as he was asked to choose between James and Michael Jordan during a recent interview.

Sanders said he would chose LeBron James over Michael Jordan, but it had nothing to do with on-court arguments. Sanders chose LeBron because he believes James touches on topics other athletes would shy away from and also his investment in public education.

Even though you may have seen photos of Sanders shooting hoops on the campaign trail, it’s definitely not a shock that his GOAT debate comes down to which ones are more active politically.

Sanders has echoed LeBron’s calls to pay college athletes as employees for the last few weeks.
