Bernie Sanders' upcoming scheduled events - including appearances in New Hampshire - have prompted rumours of a 2020 presidential bid.
The Democratic Senator from Vermont is set to appear at events over the US Labour Day holiday weekend.
New Hampshire is seen as an important player for both parties' candidates in any presidential election, much like Iowa and Ohio.
Mr Sanders will speak at a breakfast event in Manchester for the labour union AFL-CIO and then travel to Concord for a public rally held by the group Rights and Democracy New Hampshire.
The labour union event comes with a price tag of a $30 "donation" according to his aides.
During the 2016 election, Mr Sanders defeated opponent Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries in New Hampshire by over 50,000 votes and six delegates.
Surrogates for Mr Sanders have said he has left the possibility of a 2020 run open. He would be 78 years old.
But, Mr Sanders' popularity was evident during the primaries as his army of "Bernie Bros" showed their support, so much so that many refused to vote for Ms Clinton as a sign of breaking from the rest of the Democratic Party.
Mr Sanders is not the only Democrat to show an interest in New Hampshire nearly three years before ballots are cast. Congressman John Delaney of Maryland, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander have either made appearances or scheduled upcoming events in the Granite State.
