Republican businessman Bernie Moreno, who is vying for the opportunity to challenge Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown in Ohio, recently expressed his strong stance on addressing undocumented immigrants in America. Moreno referred to the current Republican establishment in Ohio as 'RINO' (Republican in name only) and urged Ohioans to support him in order to eliminate this establishment.

Backed by former President Donald Trump, Moreno emphasized his commitment to cracking down on undocumented immigrants, stating that they would face deportation starting in January 2025 if he is elected. These remarks were made during a rally near Dayton, Ohio, where Trump was scheduled to speak.

Moreno is facing competition in the upcoming GOP primary from Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Sen. Matt Dolan. Despite receiving support from Trump, Moreno had previously criticized the former president. Reports revealed that Moreno had deleted tweets in which he referred to Trump as a 'fake republican' who incites 'hatred and fear,' and had expressed reluctance to support Trump under any circumstances.

The upcoming primary will determine the Republican candidate who will challenge Sen. Sherrod Brown in the general election. Moreno's strong stance on immigration and his alignment with Trump's support are key aspects of his campaign platform. The outcome of the primary will shed light on the direction of the Republican Party in Ohio and its approach to key issues such as immigration.
