Bernie Ecclestone's This Morning interview slammed by viewers after sexist comments

This Morning viewers have blasted Bernie Ecclestone after he gave what has been dubbed a 'car crash' interview which saw him make a number of controversial comments.

The Formula 1 supremo spoke to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after becoming a dad again at the age of 89, after his wife Fabiana Flosi, 44, gave birth to his first son, Ace.

Bernie spoke about a desire to have even most children but caused a stir when asked whether he helped with nighttime feeds, he replied with an emphatic "no".

While Bernie said that he would "do whatever was necessary", he added: "That's what wives are for."

Phillip winced as Bernie gave his answer, responding: "That's going to be controversial Bernie" and Phillip was spot on as viewers flooded Twitter in outrage at his sexist opinions, as Bernie joked: "Most things I say seem to be."

One blasted: "Bernie Ecclestone!! Sexist, stupid old f**t!!" and, in firm agreement, another tweeted: "oh dear Bernie Ecclestone. Old man with old-fashioned views. What an embarrassment. Good luck to his wife."

While the comment about helping with feeding duties was the one that sparked most uproar, the whole interview rubbed people up the wrong way, with another angry viewer ranting: "Who the f**k has given Bernie Ecclestone airtime on this morning."
