A Bernese mountain dog has been melting hearts online after thinking her Christmas tree was talking to her.
The two-year-old dog, named Daisy, was very confused when a voice - which sounded suspiciously like her dad - seemed to be coming from the Christmas tree.
The pup’s head tilted from side to side as she tried to work out if she was being pranked, or if Santa Claus was really stuck in the tree.
But, truth be told, it was really her dad teasing her through the Ring camera, that was just behind the tree.
The voiceover in the TikTok video said: “Daisy thinks the Christmas tree is talking but it’s my husband talking through the Ring.”
In the video, which has been viewed nearly half a million times on TikTok, Daisy’s owner does his best Father Christmas impression, shouting ‘ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas’ through the speaker.
Her adorable reaction to thinking Santa was in the Christmas tree left viewers in bits, with one writing: “She’s like ‘trees can talk and I’m only just finding out now?’” as another added: “She thinks the tree is really talking!”
A third commenter said: “What a sweetheart - I hope Santa is good to her this year.”
And Daisy will definitely be on the good list this year after supporting her owner, Shannon, through chemotherapy.
Some viewers just wanted to know if Daisy eventually worked out that it wasn’t really Santa speaking from the tree, with one saying: “Love the head tilt - did she finally figure it out?”
“Kind of,” said Shannon, responding with a second adorable clip of the mountain dog.
The video showed footage from the Ring camera, with her owner speaking through it, capturing Daisy’s signature head tilt as she tries to figure out who’s speaking to her.
Viewers were treated to a close up of her nose as the penny dropped that it was mum and dad playing tricks on her.

In another video, camera footage caught boxer dog Khaleesi getting a telling off from her Italian Mastiff brother after trying to escape their back garden.
Khaleesi can be seen running towards the back fence before jumping up to scramble over.
But as she struggles to get a grip on her back paws, her Italian Mastiff and Cane Corso brothers come out hot on her heels and jump up to grab her as she comes crashing back into the garden.
