Bernd Leno reveals what Unai Emery told Arsenal players after Crystal Palace defeat

Bernd Leno has revealed Unai Emery's calm head after Arsenal suffered a disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace last time out.

The Gunners were beaten 3-2 at the Emirates by Roy Hodgson's Eagles in a crushing blow to their top-four hopes.

But a defeat for Manchester United at Everton and Chelsea dropping points at home to Burnley means a Champions League spot is still within Arsenal's grasp.

They travel to Molineux to face Wolves this evening knowing a point will take them back into the top four.

“It was very quiet, everybody was disappointed and frustrated because it was a big chance,” the German goalkeeper told Goal.

“But when the manager came in he said ‘no worries, it’s a disappointing result and a disappointing day but we have to look forward to the next game because qualification for the Champions League is still in our hands’.

“Against Wolves we have another chance.”

Leno also defended his teammate and compatriot Shkodran Mustafi, who came under fire for his display against Palace.

“There are so many mistakes in the game,” he added. “Every goal is about mistakes so it is not a big problem when someone loses the ball and we concede a goal.

“It’s not a big problem because we are one team, we stay together so everything is easy.”
