Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has been embroiled in a racism storm over a tweet aimed at teammate Benjamin Mendy
Silva, who scored a hat-trick against Watford on Saturday, posted an image of left-back Mendy as a child.
The Portugal international compared that picture of Mendy to the brand logo of chocolate confectionery company Conguitos.
The brand has drawn criticism in other countries for its logo that is deemed insensitive and potentially racist.
Silva accompanied the Twitter post with the caption 'Guess who' alongside a series of laughing emojis.
Mendy responded to the tweet, shrugging off any intent, posting: "1-0, for you will see."
Silva tweeted the initial post but later added another tweet, writing: "Can't even joke with a friend these days...You guys..."
The FA have confirmed they are looking into the tweet.
Silva, 25, scored a hat-trick as City put eight past Watford at the Etihad on Saturday.

Mendy also made his injury return in the clash as Pep Guardiola's side returned to winning ways following the defeat to Norwich.
On the win, Silva said: "We wanted to give our fans that after the defeat at Norwich – it was amazing the way they supported us after that defeat.
“When you lose you always want a good response, especially for the fans who didn’t deserve that defeat.
“We have won 8-0 but other days I have lost 4-0 and 5-0 and I know how it is. It’s football – sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes you get big defeats. You keep going.”
