Bernardo Silva accidentally pushes Chelsea closer to dream Neymar transfer with honest message

Bernardo Silva appears to have inadvertently reassured Neymar about a potential move to the Premier League. The 31-year-old forward has been heavily linked with an exit from Les Parc des Princes recently, with Paris Saint-Germain said to be plotting a summer clear-out.

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, the French giants are keen to offload Neymar in order to free up space on their wage bill. In fact, they're said to be so eager to sell the Brazil international that they would be willing to accept a 'significantly reduced' offer for his signature.

The report adds that Neymar is aware of the Parisians' decision and he's now pushing for an exit himself. The former Barcelona star has faced lots of criticism from PSG fans lately, with some supporters even calling for him to leave from outside his house.

UOL state that Chelsea are joined by Manchester United and Newcastle in the race to sign Neymar. While the three clubs will be keen to wrap up such a marquee signing, the Brazilian has already admitted a concern of his regarding a move to the Premier League.

Two years ago, Neymar told the Daily Mail: "I do not get to watch a lot of the Premier League, but I have heard that there's a lot of physical contact involved in the game. But the French league also has too much physical contact!"

Interestingly, Silva has revealed a similar issue. In an interview with France Football, the Manchester City star claimed that he found Ligue 1 more difficult than the English top-flight, inadvertently putting Neymar's mind at ease.

"I find that it was more difficult to play in France than in England, more physical. Maybe it’s because we have possession at Manchester City. It was difficult for me at the start. I had to get used to it."

Despite Neymar's worries about the Premier League, he's insisted that 'all great players' must play in the competition at some point in their career. Five years ago, in a Q&A on his official YouTube channel, as quoted by the Mirror, the PSG star said: "It's a big competition. One of the greatest in the world.

"We don't know how tomorrow will be, but I believe that every great player, at least one day, has to play in the Premier League. If you're playing there, then I hope you can keep enjoying the Premier League, because you deserve only the best!"
