Bernard transfer hint dropped as Everton winger edges closer to exit

Bernard is set to leave Everton this summer and some Blues believe his next club have dropped a big hint.

As reported by the ECHO, the Toffees have been working on a deal to move the Brazilian on with clubs in the United Arab Emirates showing an interest.

One of the top earners at Goodison Park, Bernard has been linked with Sharjah FC who, on Thursday, suggested he is on his way.

Bernard was dubbed 'the Magician' by Everton 's social media team following his goal in February's 5-4 FA Cup victory over Tottenham and has also been described as a wizard on the ball by some.

With that in mind, the UAE side shared a 15-second clip of a 'magician' silhouette to intrigue supporters.

The player himself told Lucas Digne on Tuesday that he will miss their '1, 2' on the pitch, leading Evertonians to assume he will leave Goodison Park this summer.

The 28-year-old joined the Blues on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018 but started just two Premier League games last season, taking to the field for a total of just 448 minutes across 12 appearances.

Everton look to have already replaced Bernard, after completing the signings of Demarai Gray and Andros Townsend this week.
