Everton winger Bernard has shared a fantastic message from former club Shakhtar Donetsk as he celebrates his birthday.
The Brazilian turned 27 on Sunday and has been treated to a trip to Menorca during the international break to celebrate the occasion.
Bernard has appeared in all of the Blues' matches in the Premier League so far this term, bagging one goal against Watford as Marco Silva's side secured a 1-0 victory, but was on the bench last time out against Wolves as Alex Iwobi was handed a start.
But birthday celebrations were at the forefront of the forward's mind on Sunday - and that included a brilliant message from former club Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 27-year-old left the Ukrainian side to join Everton on a free transfer last summer, but the good will is still clearly present.
Bernard posted an image on his Instagram story detailing a message from Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov, in which he congratulated the winger on his performances for Everton and wished him all the best for the future.
The message read: "Please accept my heartfelt greetings on your birthday!
"I am grateful to you for your excellent play, for each of your appearances with Shakhtar and for every goal you scored in the Ukrainian League and the Champions League. You will forever remain one of the team's brightest and most talented players in the history of the club and in the hearts of our fans.
