Bernadette Connolly's daughter marks one week since 'beautiful mam' went missing and pays tribute to Ashling Murphy

Missing Dublin woman Bernadette Connolly’s daughter Jade has marked one week since her “beautiful mam” went missing.

The 45-year-old has been missing from the Swords area of north County Dublin since Friday, January 7.

In an update on social media, her daughter Jade shared a picture of Yazoo song Only You and said that music helps her to cope as she continues to search beaches for Bernadette.

She also offered her "heartfelt condolences" to the family of Ashling Murphy, 23, who was murdered in Tullamore on Wednesday.

Jade wrote on Instagram: “Today is a week since my beautiful mam went missing.

“I've gone through a wave of emotions from shock to anger to profound sadness but I need to endure for her.

“I try to find moments in time to pause and think about something else, music helps, but I also can't stop to think about other tragic news and offer my heartfelt condolences to Ashling Murphy's family

“To everyone that has helped and given me the strength to continue searching for my mam, for those who continue to help and visit the beaches, please keep us in mind."

Bernadette was last spotted on Swords Main Street at 11.36am and once again at the Shoreline Hotel in nearby Donabate at 11.58am.

As there are no buses directly between the two locations, Jade believes a taxi may have driven her mother to her last known location.

She continues to plead for a taxi driver who may have driven her mother to Donabate last Friday to come forward.

After being captured on CCTV at the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate, Bernadette was spotted at the end of the beach 32 minutes later at 12.30pm and snapped a photo of the bay at 12.38pm.

Bernadette is described as being 5’6" in height, of slim build with hazel eyes and long black hair.

She is thought to be wearing a black woolly hat with black bobble, black Nike trainers with chunky white soles, black leggings, a black puffer jacket and carrying a black handbag.
