Bernadette Connolly: Daughter pleads 'I just want you back' as she marks 7 weeks since disappearance

The daughter of a missing Dublin woman has pleaded "I just want you back" seven weeks on from her mum's disappearance.

Bernadette Connolly, 45, has been missing since Friday, January 7 and was last spotted on Donabate Beach by CCTV footage in Malahide that afternoon.

Her daughter Jade has been spearheading the search to find her beloved mum and posted a touching note on social media this morning thanking her mum for giving her strength she never knew she had.

She wrote: "7 weeks today you left your home. Everything that’s happened in that time, there’s been so much stuff I feel like I could write a book although I wouldn’t know where to start with it all.

"Life has changed…I have changed…you're giving me this strength I never knew I had in me.

"I miss this exact look on your face. Telling me straight what you think and how it is, that’s what I love about you.

"Your smile, your laugh I see it all the time. I just want you back because nobody can make this go away."

Bernadette got a taxi from Swords to Donabate on the morning she went missing and was picked up on CCTV on the Shoreline Hotel's cameras.

She walked to the end of the beach and a photo was taken on her phone at 12:38pm with the Malahide Grand Hotel in view.

CCTV footage from a house near the public toilets on Malahide beach shows her in the distance on Donabate Beach at 12:46pm

A man walking on the beach found Bernadette's bag and coat up high in the dunes back up the beach at 2:50pm.

When last seen Bernadette was wearing a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, black trainers with a white sole, and a black woolly hat.

Anyone who may have seen someone fitting Bernadette's description is asked to contact Swords garda station 01 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
