At least 15 young children have been injured after a BMW mounted the pavement and drove into a group on a busy street in Berlin.
The crash happened around 1.10pm on Seestraße, near the corner of Dohnagestell, when the vehicle struck children aged between seven and eight. One of their caregivers was left seriously injured.

Police said the driver is suspected of being under the influence of intoxicating substances.
German tabloid Bild reported the incident is not currently being treated as intentional.
Emergency services flooded the area, with photos showing ambulances and police surrounding the cordoned-off street. Rubble from a nearby building was also visible on the ground as the situation developed.

Other photos from the scene show a man leaning against a car while being questioned by police. The car's front left headlight is severely damaged.
