Bergwijn starts as Kulusevski role changes - The Tottenham team Conte should pick vs Leicester

Antonio Conte faces a decision over whether to inject some new life into his Tottenham team this weekend as they welcome Leicester City.

Spurs have the chance to jump back into fourth place in the Premier League, even if just for a few hours, when they take on Brendan Rodger's men on Sunday ahead of Arsenal's derby at West Ham. Conte's side need to get back on track after disappointing performances in the home defeat against Brighton and the draw at Brentford.

Tottenham failed to register a single shot on goal in either game and they need to rediscover their shooting boots as the Foxes arrive following their drawn Europa Conference League semi-final first leg tie against Roma on Thursday night. We asked our Spurs reporters to name the team they reckon Conte will select for Sunday's match.

The main choice for Conte lies on that right-hand side and whether he persists with Emerson Royal or he uses a more attacking player in the role to provide some creativity.

The Spurs boss only really names Dejan Kulusevski as being suitable for the role, despite being left-footed, while he uses Steven Bergwijn more as an emergency left wing-back when required and Lucas Moura doesn't seem to get the wing-back gig at all.

Conte will be without Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Matt Doherty and Japhet Tanganga who are all out injured, the latter three for the rest of the season and the former for a currently unknown period.

The Italian could continue with Emerson with the knowledge that Leicester are unlikely to sit back as Brighton and Brentford did which will give Kulusevski more space to impress if he is further up the pitch.

Gold's team: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

One thing for sure is that Conte needs to make changes to his Tottenham team after two extremely disappointing performances in the past two games. Spurs quite simply cannot let their bad run continue as it could ultimately cost them a place in next season's Champions League.

Emerson Royal struggled at right wing-back last time out and offered Tottenham nothing in the final third. Given the need to address their current attacking woes having failed to register a shot on target in the past two games, now seems the perfect chance to bring in Steven Bergwijn and move Dejan Kulusevski into a wing-back role.

It's not exactly ideal moving the Swede out of his position in Spurs' front three, but something needs to be done to fix things in attack. Elsewhere, Ryan Sessegnon remains in the XI at left wing-back as Sergio Reguilon is missing through injury.

Guest's team: Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Bergwijn, Kane, Son.
