'Bergkamp vibes' - Arsenal fans love what Folarin Balogun did for U23s ahead of Monaco clash

Arsenal's Development squad are in action tonight (Tuesday) as they take on AS Monaco in the Premier League International Cup at Meadow Park.

The two teams are fighting it out in the quarter-final of the competition as they aim to make it to the last four.

One player who is expected to be part of the squad for the game in 18-year-old striker Folarin Balogun who has scored 10 goals in 16 Premier League 2 appearances so far this season.

The England U18 international played the full 90 minutes of the development squad's league game against Manchester City on Friday night, scoring the Gunners' two goals in the 4-2 loss.

They were his second and third goals in two games, after he also found the net in the 2-1 loss against Chelsea.

The striker was one of Arsenal's highest rated players in the Manchester City game, with fans calling for him to be given a chance in the first team.

Ahead of the game against Monaco, Arsenal academy have posted a video of one of the teenager's goals against City on social media and asked the forward for "more of the same tonight please."

And Arsenal fans are impressed by the finish, with more shouts for Mikel Arteta to give him a first team chance soon.

The youngster has been included in the first team squad once so far this season but was an unused substitute in the 5-0 Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest back in September.

The 18-year-old has scored 38 goals in 41 appearances for Arsenal U18s and a total of 12 in 29 appearances for the U23s.

With uncertainty reigning over the future of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Arteta could turn to Balogun as an option to save him millions of pounds in the transfer window.
