LUXURY car maker Bentley has revealed its most exclusive new model – the £1.5million Mulliner Bacalar.
Only 12 of these two-seat grand tourers will be built and all of them have been snapped up by eager buyers already.
Each of the hand-crafted Bacalars is based on the Continental GT, but with a new windscreen to give a sportier look. Bentley calls this style “Barchetta”, which is Italian for “little boat”.
There’s nothing little about the Bacalar’s specification and it comes with 5000-year-old river wood trim, British wool, leather and even metallic paint that uses ash from rice husks for a deeper finish.
Dark bronze replaces chrome on the outside, while custom-fitted luggage sits snugly behind the seats.
Under the bonnet lies a 659hp twin-turbo W12 engine. It whisks the Bacalar from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds and will carry on to more than 200mph.
