A former UFC lightweight champion meets up with a debuting former UFC competitor in the main event of Bellator’s return to the Emerald Isle.
Benson Henderson meets newly signed Myles Jury in the main event of Bellator 227 set Sept. 28 at 3Arena in Dublin.
Henderson (27-8 MMA; 4-3 BMMA) has won three consecutive fights, which has effectively put his 1-3 Bellator start in the rear-view mirror. The MMA Lab competitor’s most recent victory was a split decision over Adam Piccolotti at Bellator 220.
Jury (17-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) makes the jump over to Bellator after competing for the UFC since 2012. The TriStar fighter has lost two bouts in a row, most recently a decision to Andre Fili at UFC on ESPN 1.
The Bellator 227 portion of the evening’s card will simulcast on tape delay in the U.S. on Paramount and DAZN. The Bellator Europe 4 portion of the card, headlined by James Gallagher vs. Kal Ellenor, will stream live in the U.S. on the Bellator app and MMA Junkie.
