Benji Madden of Good Charlotte puts his Hollywood Hills bachelor pad on the market

Nov. 20--Guitarist and singer Benji Madden of the pop-punk band Good Charlotte has put his bachelor pad in Hollywood Hills West up for sale at $1.495 million.

Madden, who this year married actress Cameron Diaz, bought the secluded bungalow almost three years ago for $1.124 million.

A gated driveway crosses over a stream to reach the forested home, which was built in 1951 and has been renovated. The 2,183 square feet of contemporary, white-walled interiors feature a stone fireplace, expansive windows and an open floor plan.

An updated kitchen with a breakfast bar, three bedrooms and three bathrooms are among the living spaces. A brick terrace, decks and patios surround the home, which sits on more than half an acre.

Madden, 36, is part of the pop-punk band and the rock duo The Madden Brothers with his twin brother, Joel Madden. They are both coaches on the TV singing-competition show "The Voice."

Among Good Charlotte hits are "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," "Girls Boys" and "The River."

Brett Lawyer of Hilton Hyland, an affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, is the listing agent.
