Washington Commanders cornerback Benjamin St-Juste is having a breakout season on the field. The second-year cornerback is Washington’s top cornerback and one of the team’s top young defensive stars.
In a recent interview with Le Journal de Québec [a French-language paper based out of Canada], St-Juste spoke of his career and his life in the Washington organization. He mentioned that every time something good happens, then something bad follows.
St-Juste is undoubtedly referring to all of the investigations into owner Daniel Snyder.
“Since I arrived here, it’s been a dark cloud over our organization,” St-Juste said via Chris Lingebach of Audacy.com. “Every time there is something good happening on the pitch, something bad is happening off it. It would give us great energy to have a fresh start and regain the confidence of the fans.”

Fans understand St-Juste’s comments. For the past 23 years, there’s always been something; whether it’s the constant losing, negative headlines, or the multiple investigations into Snyder over allegations of sexual harassment and a toxic workplace culture, it simply never stops.
Last week, Snyder confirmed a Forbes report that he is exploring potential transactions with the team. Jay Glazer of FOX Sports said this is a full sale and the NFL would like this process to be completed within the next six months.
On Thursday, Washington D.C. attorney general Karl Racine announced his office was filing a consumer protection lawsuit against Snyder, the Commanders, the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell.
As for St-Juste, kudos for being honest.
