Benik Afobe delights Bristol City fans after joining them in the away end at Queens Park Rangers

Bristol City's Benik Afobe continues to endear himself to supporters after being spotted amongst them in the away end on Saturday.

The injured striker joined the travelling City fans in the stands at Queens Park Rangers' Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday, seeing his teammates secure three points in the capital.

The 26-year-old – who joined the Robins on loan from Stoke City in the summer before cruelly suffering a torn ACL in training in September– watched on as Famara Diédhiou's stunning diving header in the 16th minute was the difference between the sides.

Afobe also suffered heartbreak when two-year-old daughter Amora died in November after sustaining an infection, and the striker has since been met with a wave of support from City fans despite having played just five games for the club.

And City fans were delighted to see Afobe – who could return for the final weeks of the season as Lee Johnson's side vie for promotion from the Championship – alongside them on Saturday.

(Be warned, there is the odd rude word below...)
