Former Benidorm star Alice Barry has joined the new Darren Litten comedy Scarborough which is filming in Stockport.
Alice, who played Maureen in the sun-soaked ITV series also created and penned by Litten, will play the role of Mrs Bell in Scarborough.
The actress was spotted strolling alongside former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, who plays hairdresser Karen, as filming takes place in the Underbank area.
The BBC series, about residents living in the Yorkshire town, will also star Salford comic Jason Manford.
Alice previously played Peggy Hargreaves in the Manchester-based drama Clocking off, set in a textiles factory, and she played brothel madam and busy body Lillian Tyler in gritty drama Shameless set on the fictional Chatsworth Estate in Manchester.
She also appeared in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights and she played the fortune teller who met tragic Hayley Cropper on her poignant final visit to Blackpool with husband Roy.
Her co-star in Scarborough Cath played barmaid and machinist Eva Price in Corrie for seven years until her character decided to depart the famous cobbles last year following the death of her late ex fiance Aidan Connor played by Shayne Ward.

The actress, from Walkden, previously told the M.E.N she hopes the door will remain open for her popular character's return to the soap in the future.
