Many Brits can't wait for lockdown and travel restrictions to be lifted so they can start going on holiday again.
Despite planes being currently grounded in the UK, and the FCO still advising against all but essential travel, eager Brits are already dreaming of escaping with Benidorm being the top destination.
It's the most-searched-for destination for holiday prices for the rest of 2020.

Emma Coulthurst, travel commentator at TravelSupermarket said: "With the pubs closed at home and talk of potential cheap beer prices on the Spanish coast in future, Brits appear nostalgic for a drink or three in the sun by the sea."
Hit by one of the world's worst COVID-19 outbreaks, Spain imposed a strict lockdown in March, confining most of the population to their homes for all but essential trips.
But at the weekend joggers and cyclists across Spain emerged from their homes early with adults allowed out for exercise for the first time in seven weeks as the government began easing coronavirus restrictions.
April would normally see British holidaymakers searching predominantly for short haul summer city and beach breaks.
But as a result of a shift in holiday search patterns due to the pandemic, British holidaymakers are browsing prices for more far-away beach resorts and cities.

It is October and November long haul holidays which now dominate British travellers holiday searches at the moment, according to price comparison across the travel market via TravelSupermarket.
The most searches are for October departures, then November and December before any month next year.
It seems people are hoping to escape when they can and there is appears to be pent-up demand for exotic climes!

According to package holiday price searches this month (1-28 April 2020) sensory experiences in the likes of Las Vegas, New York and Orlando and dreamy escapes to white, sandy beach resorts in Mexico (Cancun), the Dominican Republic, Dubai, Jamaica and the Maldives dominate.
12 of the top 20 most popular price searches until the end of the year are to long-haul locations compared with just three last April.

13 of the top 20 most popular searches for the rest of the year are to island locations, compared to seven this time last year.
Emma Coulthurst, travel commentator at TravelSupermarket says; “We don’t know if people are just browsing, rather than thinking about booking.
"But it seems that even though UK travellers don’t yet know when they will be able to get away next, they don’t want to give up dreaming.
"Some of people’s time during lockdown is being used to compare prices for exotic beach escapes or trips to some of the world’s most entertainment-filled cities and October and November have become the most popular departure months to search.

“For anyone who decides to book a holiday, I’d advise booking a package, so that your holiday is financially protected under the Package Travel Regulations 2018 and ATOL scheme.
"If you go down the DIY route, then you should choose no quibble money-back cancellation options for accommodation.
"Also, a flight out of the UK will be protected under EU Air Passenger Rights 261. For extra consumer protection, pay with a credit card”.
