Benidorm, Ibiza and Magaluf could blacklist Brits for "offensive behaviour"

Holidaymakers could be banned from Benidorm over lewd behaviour feared to be plaguing the popular Spanish resort.

The bargain holiday destination , which is loved by plenty of Scousers, could make the move to blacklist any troublesome tourists as part of tougher rules for British holidaymakers.

Ibiza and Magaluf are two Spanish holiday destinations to have unveiled the measures amid worries over problem behaviour, Birmingham Live reports.

Benidorm could be the next location to institute a blacklist, according to reports.

The resort is ready to crack the whip on drunken and offensive behaviour, with a plan to banish troublemakers entirely, the Mirror reports.

The blacklist would include the names, nationalities and passport numbers of anyone who has been arrested for offensive behaviour or brawling.

The crackdown comes after more and more hoteliers in the region report drunken holidaymakers who are offending other tourists, as well as staff.

There have also been widespread reports of hotel room vandalism.

Local Benidorm entertainer Gary Beddow Brown told The Daily Star: "Some tourists leave their brains at home and think they can get away with anything while abroad, usually something they wouldn't consider doing at home.

"I'm all for a blacklist — people need to be held accountable.

"Why should local businesses be out of pocket for damage caused by people with no regard for others?"

Benidorm has attracted crowds of British tourists for years , with UK holidaymakers forming nearly half of the figures in the Spanish resort.
