BENGALURU: A 28-year-old youth and his friend were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly murdering the former’s brother-in-law on the outskirts of Doddaballapur town.
Venkatesh, 28, and his associate Niranjan, 27, both residents of Doddaballapur, allegedly hacked Naveen, 30, a mechanic, in a farm in Kadirenahalli on Sunday.
Naveen’s body was found by passersby. Doddaballapur Rural police registered a case of murder and arrested the accused duo.
Preliminary probe revealed Naveen had married Venkatesh’s younger sister Gayathri. Venkatesh was angry with Naveen for torturing his sister physically and mentally under the influence of alcohol. Venkatesh summoned Naveen to the farm to discuss the matter. There he and Niranjan hacked him to death.
