BENGALURU: Two officials from the survey settlement and land records department were arrested after Anti-Corruption Bureau officials raided four residences belonging to them and their two associates on Wednesday.
The accused are Ananda Kumar, assistant director of land records, and Ramesh, an outsourcing employee.
ACB officials said a Nagadasanapura resident approached the duo to prepare a survey note and identify the border of a land. Kumar and others demanded bribe of Rs 70 lakh and collected Rs 20 lakh as advance.
ACB officials said they seized Rs 25.3 lakh in cash, three cheques of Rs 70 lakh and other documents from Kumar’s residence and more documents from surveyor Achar’s house.
