Two men from Doddaballapur Rural in Karnataka's Bengaluru have been arrested for allegedly attacking an architect and her husband in a road rage incident. According to police, B. Rachana (29), a resident of Rajajinagar, said the incident happened on Friday when she honked at an MUV that was blocking her way on Hesaraghatta Main Road near Doddabelavangala, reports TOI.
She was returning home after delivering breakfast to her husband Bharath, who was supervising construction work at their farmhouse in Hesaraghatta, when the confrontation escalated.

“...When I honked, a man from the MUV came near my window and clicked my photo on his mobile phone. Sensing danger, I called my husband, asking him to rush to the spot. Then, he removed his MUV. I started my car and he again blocked the path after 500 metres. Two men, including the earlier one, came near my window and one of them threatened to break the glass with a stone,”
Rachana said in her complaint. “...By then, my husband arrived at the spot. He told them to delete my photo on their mobile and leave the place. In reply, they beat him up and tried to kill him by dumping a stone on his head,” she added.
The tensions escalated further but further harm was prevented after two of Rachana’s relatives, alerted by her, arrived at the scene and confronted the attackers while also informing the police.
The accused—identified as M. Mahesh (25) and M. Govinda Raju (39), farmers from Dasenahalli village—were later arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
A senior police officer said both men were reportedly under the influence of alcohol and allegedly mistook Rachana for an outsider. “We have booked them under various sections, including attempted murder,” the officer said.
