Bengaluru: Pug marks of leopard seen

BENGALURU: Panic gripped parts of Kengeri on Tuesday after residents spotted the pug marks of a leopard. Further, Sulikere gram panchayat members nearby also alerted residents about the presence of the big cat after a goat was found dead on Sunday night.

Forest department officials confirmed to TOI about reports of leopard sightings in the suburbs. KN Sharat, a resident, said a pug mark was found in VIII Block of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.

Govindaraju, range forest officer, Kaggalipura (Bengaluru Urban forest) said his field staffers have been put on high alert and two cages installed near the ISRO centre at Byalalu and Jakkanahalli limits.
