Bengaluru: Man, 60, held for gambling at Vidhana Soudha

BENGALURU: Police have arrested a 60-year-old man and launched a manhunt for others after they were found gambling at the car parking lot at Vidhana Soudha on Wednesday.

Police conducted the raid on receiving a tip-off. On seeing the cops, the gamblers fled and only one could be nabbed.

“A person clicked a photo of five or so men gambling while sitting behind cars and sent it to the cops. The arrested man has been identified as Shivashankar from Jalahalli,” a source said.

Shivashankar said he had come to Vidhana Soudha for pension-related work and joined the group that was gambling. The other gamblers included drivers of the vehicles parked at Vidhana Soudha and members of the public, sources said.
