BENGALURU: Highly decomposed bodies of an elderly man and his wife were found inside a small house at Visveswarapura, on the outskirts of Nelamangala town, on Thursday evening.
Nelamangala police suspect Muniyappa, 60, and his wife Lakshmamma, 55, both residents of Visveswarapura, committed suicide by consuming poison or overdosing on some tablets. Muniyappa sold corn in a push cart.
Neighbours saw the couple on July 11 and on Thursday noticed foul smell coming from their house. They informed police, who rushed to the spot and found the bodies. Lakshmamma was suffering from cancer and they were unable to arrange money for her treatment, said police. tnn
