Bengaluru: Biker misbehaves with women, flees

BENGALURU: A speeding biker, suspected to be a food-delivery boy, inappropriately touched two women cyclists in Sadashivanagar area and sped away on Sunday morning.

The women rushed to the jurisdictional police station to report the incident. Around 25 cyclists went to the station in support of the women, who filed separate complaints.

One of the cyclists, from MS Palya, alleged that the biker came from behind and hit her around 6.25am on New BEL Road, 500m from Sadashivanagar police station. She said it is not the first time something like this happened to her: On May 25, a biker allegedly touched her inappropriately near Mehkri Circle.

In the second incident, a biker hit a cyclist from Basaveshwaranagar around 6.50am at Cauvery Junction underpass. In both incidents, the women were unable to note down the bike registration number. But they claim to have seen a bag with the brand name of a food-delivery firm, and thus believe it to be the same person. A police officer said: "The women informed us about the incident in the morning. We'll ask them to give detailed complaints to register an FIR and will trace and arrest the miscreant."
