Bengals’ Week 15 game vs. Broncos won’t be moved to Saturday primetime

The Cincinnati Bengals keep striking out when it comes to primetime games.

The NFL designated five Week 15 games for a possible flex to primetime in Week 15 — but the Bengals visiting the Denver Broncos isn’t one of them.

An AFC showdown between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts is one game getting a Saturday slot. Four other games have a chance to be in the other Saturday slot:

  • Carolina Panthers vs. Buffalo Bills
  • Las Vegas Raiders vs. Cleveland Browns
  • New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins
  • Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles

This news comes on the heels of the Bengals not getting their Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Chargers moved to “Sunday Night Football,” an honor that instead went to the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos.

At 6-4 and with improved playoff position, the Bengals are one of the only teams in the AFC hunt with just a single primetime games this year (the Week 4 win over Jacksonville on a Thursday).

The league’s ability to flex more games than ever figured to change that, yet two notable chances have now passed the Bengals over.
