Bengals Trayveon Williams says ‘league will pay’ after being drafted in sixth round

Cincinnati Bengals sixth-round draft pick Trayveon Williams was happy to be drafted, but he wasn’t happy about where he was drafted.

Shortly after the draft, Williams tweeted out that “the league will pay.” Clearly excited to be in Cincinnati, Williams, a three-year running back from Texas A&M, was selected with the 182nd pick in NFL Draft.

Williams, who holds the Texas A&M record for all-purpose yards and rushing yards in a season, was rated a 5.54 by NFL.com. That range depicts that they believe Williams has “chance to become NFL starter.”

Now in Cincinnati, Williams will have to prove himself all over again. The Bengals will be looking for a back to split carries with Giovani Bernard if anything were to happen to Joe Mixon, their star running back.

Ultimately, for his value, Williams was a great selection for Cincinnati.
