Bengals trade for Josh Rosen in CBS Sports live mock draft show

The Cincinnati Bengals traded for the Arizona Cardinals’ 2018 first-round pick, quarterback Josh Rosen, in a CBS Sports live mock draft show.

Rosen had a less-than-desirable rookie season. However, he did show signs of stardom. The 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Rosen threw 11 touchdowns and racked up 14 interceptions in 13 starts.

Securing a potential franchise quarterback via trade wasn’t the only move Cincinnati made. They also traded their No. 11 pick for a late first-round pick (No. 27) and an early second-round pick (No. 35).

With the No. 27 overall pick, the Bengals selected offensive lineman Cody Ford, a junior from the Univerity of Oklahoma.

The details revolving the hypothetical trade for Rosen weren’t released. However, if you were told it was anything aside from a second-round pick or more, the trade would have to be deemed a success.

Then, trading two for one, potentially filling two of the big-time holes Cincinnati has, might also be an ideal transaction. Overall, not a single Bengals’ fan should be upset if the first day of the draft played out this way.
