Bengals suspend Cordy Glenn for 1 game

The Cincinnati Bengals have suspended left tackle Cordy Glenn.

After receiving clearance to get back to practice in Week 7, Glenn was the subject of reports pertaining to an impasse between him and the club over the handling of his preseason concussion.

The team announced the one-game suspension Friday.

Glenn won’t count against the 53-man roster while on the “reserve/suspended by club” list. Presumably, the Bengals will use the free spot to activate cornerback Darqueze Dennard off the PUP given the injuries elsewhere.

Glenn came over via trade from the Buffalo Bills in early 2018 and appeared in 13 games. He self-reported a concussion after a preseason game this year and hadn’t received full clearance until Week 7. A day after he got that clearance came the report he had been fined for conduct detrimental to the team and had asked for his release.
