Bengals select Wyoming LB Logan Wilson in third round

The Cincinnati Bengals kept in simple in the third round at No. 65, taking Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson.

Wilson was the best linebacker left on the board and another superb value. He was a three-year starter and team captain who has the traits necessary to start all three downs at the pro level.

This sort of value-need fit was going to be hard for the Bengals to ignore at the top of Round 3. Wilson could see some immediate work as a rookie next year alongside Germaine Pratt and veteran free-agent add Josh Bynes.

This pick followed the Bengals getting Joe Burrow to start the entire draft, then landing a big-play wideout for their new franchise passer with Clemson’s Tee Higgins at the top of the second round.
