Bengals select Alabama OL Jonah Williams with 11th overall pick

The Cincinnati Bengals kicked off the Zac Taylor era by staying put at No. 11 in the 2019 NFL draft and selecting Alabama offensive lineman Jonah Williams.

The Bengals get their top-rated offensive tackle by sitting still and letting the chaos unfold in front of them in the order. Williams arrives immediately and can start at a few different positions depending on where the Bengals want him to play.

Williams, 6’4″ and 302 pounds, makes it two first-round linemen in a row for the Bengals after taking Billy Price a season ago.

Notably, the Bengals passed on a popular theory with Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

The Bengals entered the 2019 draft with plenty of needs, though offseason moves mostly enabled them to address the problems in any order. Here, the Bengals get another lineman in an effort to fix the unit in front of Andy Dalton.
