Bengals rookies could get to PBS before July based on NFL talks

In a rather unexpected turn of events, the Cincinnati Bengals might have permission to get rookies to Paul Brown Stadium soon.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the NFL and NFLPA are currently engaged in discussions to permit certain groups of players on a limited basis to return to team facilities before the end of June.

Those groups of players would primarily include rookies and veterans in need of physicals. Free agents with new teams would potentially qualify as well too.

Getting rookies and new free-agent arrivals into town would be a big win for a Bengals team that underwent a dramatic overhaul this offseason. It’s better than nothing at this point as simply getting personnel on the same page before training camp would be a plus.

The notes also included a memo the NFL sent to teams including protocols such as physical distancing, cleaning and disinfecting:
