Cincinnati Bengals rookie tight end Drew Sample has had one heck of a ride over the past few months.
After being a surprise top-60 pick during the 2019 draft, Sample went on to receive plenty of praise during rookie minicamp. A.J. Green had something nice to say — and more recently, so did Andy Dalton.
To top it all off, as the above illustrates, Sample has also put ink to paper with Nike, meaning he’ll be equipped with the Swoosh moving forward as his pro career gets underway.
Call it another stop on an impressive momentum train for Sample, who enters his rookie year with big expectations chasing him after Bengals coaches talked him up by saying there isn’t another player on the roster that can fill the role he does.
