Bengals rookie Michael Jordan earned first-team reps at LG Tuesday

Don’t forget Cincinnati Bengals rookie Michael Jordan in the fray at left guard.

Tuesday, the Ohio State product and fourth-round pick got in the mix with some first-team reps at left guard as the team seeks to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Clint Boling.

Previously, new offensive line coach Jim Turner had singled out Jordan as one to watch in the competition.

Tuesday’s practice was hit with weather issues so Jordan might get additional looks sooner rather than later.

Of course, this could be the Bengals simply giving younger guys a chance to get game ready for Saturday night in Kansas City. They worked Trayveon Williams a lot while giving Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard the day off, too.

But Jordan and his 6 feet 6 frame might impress enough to stay in the battle. Others with first-team reps so far are Christian Westerman, John Jerry and Trey Hopkins.

Bengals fans can expect to see plenty of Jordan on the field Saturday, though he might not get first-team reps there.
