Bengals release first depth chart of 2019 season

The Cincinnati Bengals issued their first depth chart of the 2019 season Tuesday, with little in the way of surprises accompanying it to the public.

These are mere formalities at this point so there aren’t much in the way of takeaways. New arrival Pharoh Cooper gets the backup spot behind John Ross and Samaje Perine is predictably the fourth back.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the release is the mere fact the 4-3 alignment hides what the Bengals plan to do defensively. They only kept four linebackers as seen here, so a multiple front with extra defensive backs and linemen standing up will presumably work to counteract the perceived shortage.
